Inca Artifacts

The very smart and very capable people from long ago known as the Inca were very creative people. The Inca had many artifacts that were made of gold and other precious metals. These artifacts were created by them as symbols of what they have lived through. They made a wide variety of interesting and creative things. These artifacts include jewelry, masks, pottery, tapestries, musical intruments, baskets and other crafts.

Gold was one of the most important metals for the Inca. Gold was reserved for the higher class of people like priests or emperors. Like in the image above, gold was used to make maraculouse peices of art that are found today in many museums around the world.

Textiles were also very common for the Inca. These complex yet amazing textiles are also found in many museums because of their diversity and complex design.
